Richard Grenier

Richard Grenier is currently an independent consultant currently on engagement with Qualcomm Corporation, and has previously consulted for Enigma Semiconductor and Xelerated networks – both manufacturers of networking semiconductors, as well as Sony and IBM with a focus on RISC and Communication Processors. Previous employers include senior design engineering roles at Zilog and MIPS Computer Systems, 3Com Corporation as Mgr. of ASIC Development, and Foundry Networks as Director of ASIC Development. His networking background includes NPUs, Switch Fabrics, and Network Security, Search Engines, and Traffic Management solutions for both Enterprise and Service Provider sectors. Technologies has designed and managed include CPUs, server NICs, L2/L3 LAN switches, L3 routers, L4-L7 Load Balancers. Mr. Grenier closely tracks technologies and applications from Cypress, IDT, NETL, BRCM, MRVL, Dune, Cavium, Xelerated, Bay Micro, EZChip, ARM, Lattice, Xilinx, Intel, AMD, and Altera; Networking systems from FDRY, CSCO, JNPR, and EXTR.
