Randall McCathren

Randall McCathren is the President and General Counsel of BLC Associates, a national auto finance consulting firm whose clients include virtually every major lessor and finance company doing business in the United States. He has over 25 years of experience in the auto finance industry and specializes in credit and residual risk management, subprime and non-prime financing including buy-here-pay-here dealer lending financial analysis and receivable sale and securitization. Mr. McCathren has consulted with the Federal Reserve Board and National Credit Union Administration on leasing and lending regulatory issues. BLC conducts surveys for the National Automotive Finance Association, the trade association of the non-prime/sub-prime auto finance lenders. Mr. McCathren is co-author of the only two books devoted exclusively to the technical requirements of the vehicle leasing business: The Automobile Lending and Leasing Manual (1989), and Essentials of Consumer Vehicle Leasing (1985).
