nterop does Ethernet many ways Demos focus on 10G, talks push 40G and more | www.eetimes.com
Service providers do not want to increase their OPEX and CAPEX while they want to support 40G and 100G infrastructure. There is big hype about 10G-base T products however it is not a viable long term solution because, 1. Cannot be scaled beyond 10G 2. Power consumption is high Both the factors are going to eventually be barriers to the growth of 10G base T products.

GigOptix Announces EA Modulator Driver for use in 100Gb/s Ethernet Applications | www.tmcnet.com
With ever increasing bandwitdth demand, more and more players are now focusing their efforsts on growing the product portfolio that supports 40G and 100G applications. In this case Gigoptics has taken one such leap in this space to support line cards driving 40G and 100G. This means there is enough supporting infrastructure to the serial lanes without creating a wide bus of data at low frequecy. This will eliminate the need for comple board level designs and any ISI jittter issues. Gigoptic is one of the leading companies in this space with strong growth potential.
