Rafael Bernal is founder and current President of Prosoftware, an association involved in developing software companies to international standards and lobbying governments on behalf of the software industry. Mr. Bernal has been active in the task group coordinated by the Ministry of Economy, that successfully obtained funding from Congress to support the Program for the Development of the Software Industry, Prosoft, and in promoting this industry as key for the economic development of Mexico. He is also helping to establish the infrastructure, educational and quality processes needed to strengthen the industry, and lobbying for the construction of software parks. Mr. Bernal experience includes being the first Mexican CIO at Procter & Gamble Mexico; investing in and running a startup in the Silicon Valley; and founding and running HeurĂstica, a software development company started in 1982 and now consulting on offshoring to Mexico for both the Mexican government and local/foreign compa (This is me - Update Profile)
