Michael Wechsler, MD

Michael Wechsler, MD, is an Associate Physician in the Pulmonary and Critical Care Division of Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and is on the faculty at Harvard Medical School. He is a member of the Steering Committee of the NIH's Asthma Clinical Research Network and is active in both basic and clinical research focused on asthma and allergies. Dr. Wechsler is clinically active in the intensive care unit practicing critical care medicine. His scientific interests include the genetics of asthma, Churg-Strauss syndrome, and eosinophilia. Dr. Wechsler has received research awards from the NIH, American Lung Association, the ACCP's Chest Foundation, and from Merck and GlaxoSmithKline. He has published both clinical and research manuscripts in NEJM, JAMA, Lancet, Chest, the Journal of Asthma and Clinical Immunology, and the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Wechsler has consulted for Novartis, Genentech, Scoggin, and Metropolitan Capital. (This is me - Update Profile)
