Since 1993 Michael Albano has been Owner-Operator-Founder of Communication Depot, a wireless retailer. His career in the wireless industry began in 1984. He has an extensive background with prepaid, unlimited wireless carriers MetroPCS, Boost Wireless and Leap Wireless as well as postpaid carriers AT&T Mobility, Sprint-Nextel, T-Mobile and Verizon. He has an extensive network with other wireless retailers, resellers, MVNO's and big box retailers in numerous markets due to his decades in wireless retail and business-to-business sales, marketing and operations, as well as his significant involvement in start-ups and turnarounds. He has hired and trained hundreds of sales, marketing and operational staffs for a number of wireless organizations and has been a wireless consultant for businesses and research groups since 1988. Mr. Albano has appeared numerous times on television as an expert wireless consultant and as an attitude and motivation coach. (This is me - Update Profile)

Since Boost is still relatively new and will continue to sustain growth for quite some time and other carriers are now getting into the prepaid game, or are making their prepaid plans more competitive, it may be a rough Christmas and New Years for Leap and metro PCS.

AT&T which is not known for giveaways and usually is known for giving less but charging more, I believe is trying to get their feet wet in prepaid. In my opinion, this is their 1st serious attempt to see how well they'll do in prepaid.

I have believed for quite some time that the MVNO model would soon be well past it's prime and that the carriers they resell services on could either do it better or buy them out. Other than TracFone at the moment, it pretty much is over for MVNO's.
