Mark Brzezinski

Mark Brzezinski is a Partner and manages the international practice at McGuireWoods in Washington, DC. He focuses his practice on international trade policy, cross-border transactions, energy and public utilities, and international government relations. Mr. Brzezinski has considerable experience with international financial institutions in Washington, including the U.S. Export-Import Bank, the Overseas Private Investment Corporation, the World Bank, the IFC, and the IMF. He aids clients in interfacing with international financial institutions. He is a former director of Southeast European affairs at the National Security Council at the White House. Prior to that appointment, Mr. Brzezinski served as a director for Russian/Eurasian affairs on the National Security Council, where he was White House coordinator for U.S. democracy and rule of law assistance programs in the region. Before joining the White House staff, he was a corporate and securities associate at Hogan & Hartson, and also served as an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University's School for International Affairs. Mr. Brzezinski is a frequent speaker and writer on trade foreign policy including "The Challenge of Nuclear Deals," "Making Russia a better neighbor," "U.S. Policy Towards Russia," and "America's National Security Challenges." He received his BA from Dartmouth College, his JD from University of Virginia School of Law, and his Doctorate from Oxford University. (This is me - Update Profile)
