Lisa Epifani works with Van Ness Feldman's electricity, natural gas, biofuels, and public policy practices. With a background that traverses the full spectrum of energy issues, including infrastructure siting, biofuel mandates, oil and gas policy, and renewable and nuclear expansion, Ms. Epifani has spent the last decade in key governmental and private sector roles developing energy policy. She most recently served as Assistant Secretary for Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs at the Department of Energy (DOE). As DOE’s lead contact with Congressional Members and staff, Ms. Epifani promoted the Administration’s energy policies and negotiated positions on appropriations and authorization bills like the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007.
