Council Member Biography

Lew Posekany is an Independent Consultant in the oil and gas industry. Previously, Mr. Posekany was the Senior Vice President of Group Planning and Development at Williams Gas Pipeline Company. He was responsible for strategic and financial planning, regulatory policy, business development, process improvement, and investor relations. He has experience in evaluating most of the gas pipelines currently operating in the Lower 48, Alaska, Canada, Latin America, and Australia as well as existing and proposed LNG, non-conventional gas supply, stranded gas and power generation projects in those regions as well as Indonesia, Myanmar, South Korea, Japan, and portions of the Former Soviet Union. Since retirement, he has served as a consultant to a variety of energy companies, investment banking firms, and consulting firms. He holds a BS, an MS, and a JD from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, practiced law in Texas and currently serves on the Advisory Board for the Nelson Institute of Environmental Studies at the University of Wisconsin.
