Laurence Hellman is the principal of LMH Consulting, an independent retail consulting firm, a partner in Summit Leadership Development, and an entrepreneur developing storage condominiums. Previously, Mr. Hellman was the Corporate Vice President of Merchandise Research for May Department Stores, from 1985 to 2006, where he executed ad hoc reports for CEO, initiated and developed a standard format for competitive analysis, formalized marketing metrics and sales promotion best practices, led consumer research customer service surveys and partnered with EVP of Strategic Planning to create a seasonal business planning processes. Prior to this position, Mr. Hellman was the Director of Business Development for May Department Stores. Mr. Hellman has more than 30 years of retail experience including, buying, merchandising, and marketing in department, discount, mass merchant, and specialty stores. He is knowledgeable about strategic and business planning, business development, market and consumer research, customer satisfaction metrics, competitor analysis, merchandising, marketing, and training and development. He has knowledge about companies like Macy's/May, Federated, Dillard's, Nordstrom, Penney's, Kohl's, Target and key discount, specialty formats. (This is me - Update Profile)
