Laureen Cook

Laureen R. Cook has 25 years of worldwide experience in the telecommunications industry. She holds an MSc in Telecoms Eng from RIT, and an MBA. She is the former Executive Advisor (COO) to the Chairman of MTC-Vodafone (now Zain) in the Middle East. She has held executive and BOD level positions with international operators; Deutsche Telekom (Germany), Cable & Wireless (UK), NYNEX USA (now Verizon) and KPMG Consulting in Europe. She is a founding Director of European and Asian wireless companies; Debitel GmbH (Germany), Telestet (now Wind Greece), and PT Satelindo of Indonesia. Her depth of knowledge includes operational & strategic deployment and re-engineering of telcos encompassing: Wholesale, Retail, MVNO, Handsets, VAS and Network Operations within the; TACS, AMPS, TDMA, CDMA, GSM, PCN, GPRS, 3G, HSDA/3.5G, range of technologies. She is currently focused on convergent technologies such as WiMax and next generation LTE/4G with manufacturers, operators, and the investment community. (This is me - Update Profile)
