Larry Doan is currently an independent retail consultant in the tools & hardware industry, where he has worked since 2006. Prior, he was a Store Manager at Lowe's, where he worked from 2001 to 2006. Previously, he was a Store Manager at The Home Depot from 1996 to 2001.
Mr. Doan has more than 25 years of experience in the retail business, holding various executive positions in several different types of retail companies. He was an Owner/Operator of a children's clothing retailer with two branches, 20 employees and 500,000 in capital. For six years, he worked in the conventional department store business at May Company as a Divisional Sales Manager supervising 50 associates. Mr. Doan worked in the discount store industry first as a Store Manager and later as a District Manager overseeing 250 million in capital and 1200 employees.
Prior to his work in retail, Mr. Doan was the Owner of an employment agency with 20 employees doing 250 thousand in business. He has extensive experience in buying, merchandising, operations, management, finance, human resources, warehousing, transportation, and distribution. He is very familiar with softlines, hardlines, domestics, furniture, sporting goods, and all areas of the full line, discount, and home improvement retailer.

What about the space needed to merchandise , will it be the same in all stores or will customers have to search for it.
