Mrs. Kristen Verderame

Council Member Biography

Kristen Verderame is Principal and General Counsel at The Laconia Group Inc. Kristen has over 10 years’ experience in mergers and acquisitions, and in managing and driving clearance processes with the Committee for Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) on behalf of corporations. Ms. Verderame focuses not just on achieving compliance and ultimately clearance, but on turning the process into a true business advantage resulting in increased profits for the acquiring company.

An attorney and general counsel, Ms. Verderame also provides consulting in the areas of security, corporate governance, HR/executive agreements, public affairs and government relations, operations and post-acquisition integration. Ms. Verderame is an accomplished public speaker, and has presented in numerous fora on a variety of international telecommunications policy, security and trade issues.
