Venu Venugopal, Ph.D., is the Vice President of Product Management at CA (Computer Associates - a leading vendor of IT management and security software), with responsibility for their SaaS and Managed Services strategy and execution. Previously he was the Vice President for Solutions Marketing (Industry Verticals) and the Director of Product Management for Security Software at CA. Prior to joining CA in 2004, he was a Senior Manager for Product Management & Marketing and Senior Manager for Network Security Services at Sprint-Nextel, a Research Faculty at the University of Pennsylvania, and a Senior Software Engineer at Wipro. He has 20+ years of experience in IT and software, 12 years of that in executive/managerial roles. He has 25+ publications and conference presentations to his credit, and currently is an Advisory Board Member of TM Forum, the primary standards body in telecom/service provider industry.
