Josh King is the Vice President, Business Development and General Counsel at Avvo, Inc. Mr. King also takes select consulting assignments relating to mobile telecom and spectrum valuation. Prior to Avvo, he worked in the wireless industry for over 10 years. Previously, he was the Director, Business & Spectrum Development at Clearwire, and was responsible for acquisition of 2.5 GHz WiMax spectrum; Vice President, Corporate Development at AT&T Wireless, and was responsible for managing the sale of the company to Cingular in 2004, and responsible for mergers and acquisitions, driving deals from origination through integration, adding operating markets, subscribers and licensed 800 MHz/1.9 GHz spectrum. He also held the position of General Counsel at Cellular One of San Francisco, and was responsible for managing legal and regulatory affairs. (This is me - Update Profile)

The large wireless incumbants (AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile) will participate heavily in the auction.  AT&T and Verizon will likely spend the most, given their deep pockets and affinity for low-frequency spectrum. If Frontline (or some similar entity) acquires the 10 MHz public safety...
