Council Member Biography

Jonathan Feffer is the President of JF Maritime, a firm engaged in arranging the sale & purchase and chartering of ocean-going vessels and offshore drilling rigs, and provision of consulting services in connection with vessel financing, management and technical services. He is active in the US flag Jones Act segment of the industry, including the Marine Highway program, and in the development of environmentally correct ship demolition and recycling programs. He served as Vice President of Maritime Overseas Corporation, agents and brokers for Overseas Shipholding Group, President of Itel Navigation, Inc, and Chief Executive of InterMaritime Management. He holds an AB in economics from New York University and was enrolled in their MBA program. He served in the US Army with the rank of Captain, and is or was a member of the Society of Maritime Arbitrators, the Connecticut Maritime Association, New York Maritime, Inc., and the Association of Shipbrokers and Agents as Director.
