J. Scott Litton, Jr., MD, FAAFP, is the Chief Executive Officer and President of Litton Family Medicine, PC in Pennington Gap, VA. He provides inpatient services and also serves as the Medical Director of the Center for Wound Care at Lee Regional Medical Center. Dr. Litton serves as a Faculty member at University of Virginia School of Medicine. He has expertise in treating chronic non-healing wounds of all causes, in addition to performing screening endoscopic procedures for disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, while providing preventive medicine services for his patients. Dr. Litton has interests in practice management, mental illnesses, hyperlipidemia, preventive medicine, cardiovascular research, and embracing the paperless medical practice. He is a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Woodway, VA, a Fellow of the AAFP, a member of the Virginia Academy of Family Physicians, Medical Society of Virginia, Christian Medical and Dental Society, and the American Medical Association.
