John Douglas, PhD, is the President of Douglas Associates. Dr. Douglas has more than 54 years of experience in the fertilizer industry. He is knowledgeable on agricultural economics, production and distribution economics for the world fertilizer market, and production and distribution costs of nitrogen, phosphate, and potash.
Dr. Douglas has consulted for DuPont Chemicals, IMC Fertilizers, Nitrochem, T-G Industries, Terra Chemical International, Western Ag Minerals, The Fertilizer Institute of the US, and The Phosphate Potash Institute. Prior, he spent 38 years with the National Fertilizer Development Center, where he served as Staff Economist and Assistant Manager. Dr. Douglas holds a BS in Industrial Economics from Harvard University and a PhD in Agricultural Economics and Public Administration from Iowa State University.
