John Donaldson is the President of Donaldsons Volkswagen-Subaru, a $50M new car franchise dealer in Long Island, which he has been operating since 1986. They sell and lease an average of 2300 new and used (80% new, /20% used) vehicles per year as well as parts and service. Mr. Donaldson's family has owned numerous dealerships since 1955, including Volkswagen, Porsche, Suzuki, Sterling, Peugeot, Audi, and Subaru. He is familiar with all aspects of dealership operations, new and used retail market conditions, wholesale market conditions, automotive regulations, and franchisor-franchisee relationships.
