John Ansell, BSc, MA, has been a pharmaceutical industry consultant since 1990, based in Thame, near Oxford, UK. He was employed for 20 years in the industry by Organon, Schering AG, Fisons, Solvay and Glaxo. His experience there and subsequently as a consultant is chiefly in business development, licensing, and international marketing. Mr. Ansell is the author of some 40 articles and reports on pharmaceutical issues, many for Decision Resources Inc. (www.johnansell.com), and has acted as chairman at over 30 pharma conferences. He is a frequent speaker on various aspects of pharma deals, as well as on marketing and R & D strategy. He was founding director of IBC/Falconbury's Pharma Executive Mini-MBA course (2005-). In the US, Mr. Ansell has been a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of Pharmaceutical Executive (1990-2002), and Chairman of the Advisory Board of Decision Resources since its inception (2005-).
