Jeffrey Perlmutter, MD

Jeffrey Perlmutter, MD, is a Nephrologist in private practice in Maryland. He has experience in the treatment of all forms of acute and chronic kidney disease including the care of patients with end stage renal disease requiring dialysis or transplantation. He is the Medical Director of a hospital-based dialysis unit as well as a freestanding clinic. He teaches part time at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. He has consulted for Amgen and is on the speaker's bureaus for Abbott and Ortho Biotech. Dr. Perlmutter has been a very active member of the National Kidney Foundation of the National Capital Area where he is Chairman of the Board of Directors. He has chaired the medical advisory board and public policy committee. He is Chairman of the Vascular Access Committee of the Mid-Atlantic Renal Coalition (ESRD Network 5 ) and a member of its Medical Review Board.
