Jeffrey Gosin, MD, is a Vascular and General Surgeon with Jersey Shore Surgical Group in New Jersey. He is an Attending Surgeon and Chief of Vascular Surgery at Shore Memorial Hospital and Medical Director of the Cardiovascular Institute, a multidisciplinary department which includes vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, and interventional cardiologists. Dr. Gosin’s clinical practice includes most areas of vascular and general surgery. His areas of special interest are minimally-invasive interventional techniques; new technology in surgery; and treatment of carotid artery disease, peripheral arterial occlusive disease, and abdominal aortic aneurysms. In addition, Dr. Gosin developed and actively participates in a busy outpatient vein treatment center which specializes in minimally invasive treatment of varicose veins and venous insufficiency. New data from Cook shows 94% success rate in retrieving a temporary vena caval filter at 12 weeks post implant. This new data confirms what many of us have believed; that retrievable filters can successfully and safely be removed months after implantation.
