Jean-Pierre Issa, MD, is a Professor of Medicine in the Department of Leukemia at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, University of Texas. Dr. Issa has received Kimmel Foundation Scholar Award and a Translational Research Award from the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of America. He serves on the editorial board or as an Associate Editor of journals of Cancer Research, Clinical Cancer Research, Cancer Biology & Therapy, and Molecular Cancer Research. Dr. Issa has been involved in clinical trials in acute myelogenous leukemia and myelodysplastic syndrome with expertise in hypomethylating agents and histone deacetylase inhibitors. His area of clinical expertise is in research in epigenetics and drug development in leukemia. (This is me - Update Profile)
