Janet Anderson is a Senior Technology & Policy Advisor at VNF in Washington, DC, where she represents clients before Congress, federal agencies, and the private sector on issues related to the intersection of business initiatives with energy and environmental policy. Ms. Anderson focuses on government policy counsel in the areas of climate change, electricity, energy efficiency, clean tech, and air quality. She was previously, the Director of Industry Policy for the White House Climate Change Task Force. In this position, Ms. Anderson oversaw the development of presidential policy on industry actions related to the Administration's global climate change initiatives. She coordinated outreach with various stakeholder groups: industry, environmental groups, state/local governments, and Members of Congress. From 1994-98, Ms. Anderson served as a Special Assistant to the Secretary of Energy. Prior to 1994, she worked for Northern States Power Company. Ms Anderson is a mechanical engineer.
