Council Member Biography

James King is an independent consultant and economic advisor to industrial metals and raw materials industries. Mr. King started his consultancy on a part-time basis in 1981, specializing in aluminum and steel, and it has since become a full-time occupation. The main clients for these services are metal producers, their customers and suppliers. Other clients include international organizations, government bodies, financial institutions, and management consultants. Prior he was an economic services manager with Europe’s largest developer of industrial property, English Industrial Estates. Mr. King has also served as Research Director for the Commodities Research Unit, the leading international consultancy in the metals and raw materials industries.
