James D'Olimpio, MD, FACP, is the Director of Palliative Medicine/Cancer Pain and Supportive Oncology at North Shore University Hospital/Monter Cancer Center in Manhasset, New York, and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at New York University School of Medicine. His expertise includes a wide range of topics in symptom control in the cancer patient and has specific research interests in symptom management, nutritional oncology, chemotherapy induced neuropathy, anorexia/cachexia, fatigue and end-of life care. Dr. D'Olimpio has consulted for companies such as Ortho-biotech, Cephalon, Cytogen, Abbott/Ross Pharmaceuticals, and MedImmune.
