Council Member Biography

Jaime Cercone, MD, is an Associate at Sanigest Internacional, since 1998, a healthcare consulting and management company. Dr. Cercone has worked as an assistant in the Pharmacology Departments at Wilson Laboratories and the Chicago Medical School. He did research in drug evaluation before obtaining approval for their clinical trial and was involved in one initial clinical trial for a drug against ALS. Dr. Cercone also served as associate instructor for medical students at Rush Medical College. As a self employed general surgeon in two rural Central Illinois hospitals with offices in two adjacent towns; he carried a large percentage of primary medicine patients. Dr. Cercone served in various capacities in the local county medical society and worked as an ER physician for the last five years of practice.
