Council Member Biography

Jack Cupp is currently the owner of Jack Cupp Consulting, a perishable products consulting company, a venture Jack started in 2006. Mr. Cupp is also a consultant with Encore Associates, a strategic advisory, sales & marketing and solutions provider to the food and consumer goods industry, where he has been since 2008. Prior to 2006, Mr. Cupp served from 1973 until 2006 as Safeway's Corporate Director of Category Management for Produce and prior to that a Corporate Director of Produce & Floral Procurement, in addition to other positions earlier in his career. In these positions Jack was responsible for centralized category management functions for produce, the development and implementation of numerous “go to market” strategies on produce categories, and the direction of Safeway’s produce buying operations and personnel for the most effective procurement of fresh produce commodities.
