Inder Anand, MD, FACC, FRCP, DPhil, is Professor of Medicine at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Anand is also Director of the Heart Failure Program at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center. Dr. Anand has expertise in pathophysiology and management of heart failure. He has been a principal investigator on over 40 heart failure clinical trials. Dr. Anand is a member of the steering and endpoint committees of a large number of clinical trials. His basic science research includes work on isolated myocyte function in human and animal models of heart failure. Dr. Anand is on the editorial boards of a number of peer review journals and is the Associate Editor of the Journal of Cardiac Failure. He has authored over 220 original scientific publications, published over 250 abstracts, and presented over 600 papers at national and international meetings. Dr. Anand is a consultant to Guidant, Novartis, GlaxoSmithKline, AstraMerck, and Amgen. (This is me - Update Profile)
