Howard Glaser is the Principal of the Glaser Group in Washington, DC, where he specializes in analyzing federal action affecting the mortgage, housing and financial services sectors. Mr. Glaser is an expert on the expanding subprime lending crisis, Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac, mortgage insurance, and FHA. Previously, Mr. Glaser served as Sr. VP for Government Affairs and General Counsel of the Mortgage Bankers Association. Before that Mr. Glaser served as Counselor to HUD Secretary Andrew Cuomo, where he acted as the Secretary's chief legal advisor on regulations and legislation. For his work in reforming federal housing programs, Mr. Glaser was a recipient of the 1996 John F. Kennedy School of Government "Innovations in Government" award. Mr. Glaser has testified before Congress numerous times and is a regular advisor to Congressional committees on housing issues. His analysis is frequently reported on by national media.
