Mr. Hernan L. Fuenzalida-Puelma, Esq., LL.M, is an associate consultant at Sanigest International. He is a senior adviser on pensions, health and health insurance policy and regulation, insurance, social security reform, and labor/employment issues to international financial and donor organizations including the World Bank, ADB, DFID (UK), USAID, and major international consulting firms. He is a former General Counsel for the Inter-American Institute on Agriculture and for the Pan-American Health Organization/World Health Organization, and Visiting Scholar to the World Bank. His brief concerns the policy and legal/regulatory and institutional issues in both the financial sector and in social protection financing and management (social security, pensions, health care and labor); policy and institutional development of public and private health regulatory agencies; and insurance industry development.
