Hemant Patel is an independent energy consultant and the Principal of HP Energy Consultants. A firm providing consulting services in the power generation and oil & gas industries. Mr. Patel has 25 years of experience in managing electric power generating projects and oil and gas (E&P) producing assets heavy oil, merchant power acquisitions, divestitures, spark spreads, and load pockets. He is currently providing consulting services to supermajors and mid size firms in the oil & gas sectors. Mr. Patel also has experience in managing engineering, procurement, and construction projects; handling equipment (gas turbines and steam turbine generators) and transmission issues; and analyzing merchant power companies' asset base and components. Prior, he was Director of Business Development at Duke Energy, North America. Mr. Patel holds a BS in Petroleum Engineering from the Texas Tech University and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
