Mr. Harvey Gutman

Council Member Biography

Harvey Gutman is the President of Brookside Advisors, a company focusing on retail and real estate consultancy serving retail chains, wholesalers, private equity firms, and real estate development companies. Mr. Gutman is knowledgeable on all aspects regarding the supermarket and drug store sectors, commercial real estate and most other retail sectors including the organic/natural food business and extreme value discounters. Previously, Mr. Gutman was Senior VP for Pathmark Stores where he served in senior management positions from 1976-2006. Pathmark, a northeast supermarket chain which operated 141 high-volume stores, is now part of A&P. At Pathmark, he was responsible for real estate, construction, site location research, acquisitions/divestitures, investor and security analyst communications and public relations. He also has experience in finance, strategic planning, consumer research and merchandising. Previously, he served as Director of Research for A&S Department Stores. (This is me - Update Profile)
