Mr. Harrison Wadsworth III

Council Member Biography

Harrison Wadsworth is Principal at Washington Partners, a government and public relations firm in Washington, DC. Mr. Wadsworth has expertise in a variety of areas, including media relations, the legislative and political process, higher education, finance, communications and trade association management. He is an authority on student financial assistance and the Higher Education Act, heads two trade associations and leads the firm's public relations practice. Mr. Wadsworth previously served seven years as Deputy Executive Director and Vice President of the Education Finance Council, an association of student loan organizations. He served for eight years as legislative director and press secretary for U.S. Representative Bart Gordon, ranking member of the House Science Committee and a member of the Commerce Committee. Mr. Wadsworth has also worked as a Congressional Press Secretary and Legislative Director and as a newspaper reporter and editor. He received a B.A. in Mass Communications from the University of California at Davis and an M.A. in Economics and American foreign policy/security studies from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.
