Glynn Phillips

Glynn Phillips was formerly Executive Vice President of Sales for Del Monte Foods which he departed in late 2002. Mr. Phillips is a senior executive in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry with over 40 years of experience, the majority of which in senior management positions. Mr. Phillips began his career with Kendall Company prior to its acquisition by Colgate-Palmolive. He was a senior sales manager (and for a while general manager) at Clorox Company for 21 years (the last 11 as VP Sales), and saw revenue grow from $75M to $2B. He was an EVP and Executive committee member for Del Monte from October 1994 through to August 2000, whereupon he retired but was kept on a retainer until November 2002. During the retainer period, he sat in on the executive strategy meetings and did some recruiting and general advise/counsel consulting work. While at Del Monte Foods, Mr. Phillips was very involved, from a managerial and executive point of view, with the sale of the firm to Texas-Pacific in 1997 and has responsibility for Worldwide Sales and Food Service profit centers. Mr. Phillips has worked closely with, and maintains to, most major food retailers and distributors including Wal-Mart, Target, Safeway, Winn-Dixie, Ahold, and others. (This is me - Update Profile)
