Germano De Paula, PhD, is a Professor at Federal University of Uberlandia (Brazil), where he has been since 1990. He also established the consulting firm Oxford Consultoria Ltda. in 2000. Dr. De Paula has a BA in Economics from the Federal University of Uberlandia, and an MS and a PhD in Economics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He spent one year in 1998-99 as a Research Fellow in Economics at the Centre for Brazilian Studies at Oxford University. His research focuses on the steel industry and mining (iron ore, in particular). Dr. De Paula has published two books and several articles on this topic in academic journals and trade magazines. His consultancy customers include public sector (federal and provincial governments) as well as private-owned companies. (This is me - Update Profile)
