George Cornell is President of Cornell and Associates, a consulting firm serving the jewelry and cosmetic industries, specializing both in the retail and manufacturing aspects, where he has worked since August 2008. He has served as COO of Super Bell Jewelry, a supplier of fine jewelry, accessories, and watches to jewelry retailers world-wide. Super Bell Jewelry is a manufacturer and wholesaler representing over 15 global companies. Mr. Cornell has also served as Vice President of Sales for L'oreal, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for International Beauty Design, and Executive Vice President of Sales for Stuller, a manufacturer and distributor of jewelry products in the US. At Stuller, he was responsible for sales, customer service operations, merchandising, marketing promotions, staff management, and trade relations. Mr. Cornell has more than 30 years experience in selling and marketing product. He is a member of the GIA education committee and 24K club of Southern California. (This is me - Update Profile)

History is a great teacher and P&G seems to understand that. The consumer in the emerging markets is very much like the consumers in the U.S. in the early 20th century, relative to wants and needs. Location and convenience in shopping are  primary needs for the mass market.
