Gary Stubblefield is a Vice President at Norwest Corporation, a mining consulting firm. He is a registered professional mining engineer with over 30 years of experience at operating mines (iron ore and emphasis on coal), at a mining software company, and as a mining consultant. Mr. Stubblefield manages the surface mining group at Norwest's Salt Lake City office, where he manages mining engineers in mine design, equipment selection, determining mining costs and developing cash flow models to evaluate the economics of a proposed mining project. During his Career, he has held positions as 'Drill & Blast Engineer', as well as Chief Engineer with responsibility over drilling and blasting designs. Later, as Mine Superintendent, and eventually Vice President of Operations, Mr. Stubblefield supervised operations personnel, including the drilling and blasting department at a surface coal mine. He is also familiar with 3D Geological Modeling and Mine Scheduling software as it is used in mine design and productivity studies.
