Gary Bachman is a Member at Van Ness Feldman, specializing in an administrative, legislative and litigation practice, with special focus on the electric utility industry and their issues, from rate regulation to hydroelectric, natural resources and environmental issues. His practice involves counseling clients on the full range of electric utility regulation and transmission issues, as well as the transactional, regulatory and environmental issues encountered in project financing, siting, permitting and construction. Mr. Bachman represents clients in an array of utility merger proceedings, open access rulemakings, transmission access requests and open access tariff proceedings, all of which are designed to restructure the electric marketplace and introduce competitive forces as a substitute for regulatory control. Mr. Bachman received his B.A. from Bucknell University in 1975. He graduated cum laude from the Washington College of Law, American University in 1978, where he was a Senior Editor of the American University Law Review. (This is me - Update Profile)
