Fred Brown is an Independent Consultant at Fred Brown Consultants, a consumer packaged goods consultancy, where he has worked since March 2005. Mr. Brown has over 17 years of pharmaceutical industry experience and 15 years of experience in the packaging industry. He has expertise in production support, packaging equipment maintenance, process improvement, capital budget approval, creating bid specifications, selection of vendors and suppliers and sterile and aseptic compounding CGMP manufacturing. Previously, he was a Production Manager at Anchor Glass Container Corporation and a Senior Process Engineer for Merck. He also has knowledge of the development of new bulk active pharmaceutical ingredients (formulations) used for the pharmaceutical coating industry. (This is me - Update Profile)

This article is a clarion call to the nation's largest employers and to our federal government, of the growing healthcare dilemma of uninsured and underinsured employees. The new concept of a medical clinic in the world's greatest one-stop retailer will begin to minimize the pressure put on most emergency room and hospitals across the USA, plus offer greater flexibility to the consumer base. Additionally, this should boost revenues within most Superstore Pharmacy Centers, while assisting the store with rental income to overcome huge operating expense's. This entrepreneurial idea is a "breath of fresh air" to the healthcare industry and it should be embraced by politicians and special interest groups alike as a means to provide solutions to this growing healthcare problem rather than continued separation of social status.
