Mr. Frank Sabatino

Council Member Biography

Frank Sabatino is an independent consultant providing consulting services in the utilities and power generation industry. Prior, Mr. Sabatino was Senior Vice President of Power Marketing at Northeast Utilities. He has more than 34 years of experience working in several NU subsidiaries in both the regulated and unregulated businesses. Mr. Sabatino managed the wholesale business line of NU's unregulated power marketing subsidiary which operated in 11 northeastern states controlled by ISO-New England , New York-ISO, and PJM. He is a former Chairman of Executive Committee at NEPOOL. Mr. Sabatino is an expert on all aspects of the power markets in the Northeast. Since leaving NU in 2004, he has provided strategic advice and expert testimony to both power industry and investment firms. Mr. Sabatino played a significant role in NU's aquisition of PSNH , the transformation of NEPOOL to a competitive power market, and the acquisition of 1400mw of merchant generation by a private equity fund.
