Dr. Erik Lie is Associate Professor of Finance and Henry B. Tippie Research Fellow at University of Iowa, where he teaches investment banking and corporate finance. Dr. Lie has conducted research on executive stock option grants, poison pills and defensive payouts by takeover targets, fixed price and Dutch auction self-tender offers, open market share repurchases, financial restructuring in Chapter 11, debt-reducing exchange offers, and dividend policy. He has been retained as an expert witness in a hostile takeover case and consulted in matters regarding executive stock option grants. Previously, Dr. Lie was Associate Professor at the College of William and Mary. He received his PhD in Finance from Purdue University. (This is me - Update Profile)
