Eliot J. Greenwald is Of Counsel in the Telecommunications, Media and Technology Practice at Bingham McCutchen in Washington, DC. He represents wireless telecommunications carriers and providers of cellular, PCS, SMR, wireless broadband, paging, satellite earth stations and earth stations on vessels on regulatory and transactional matters. Mr. Greenwald assists these clients in rulemaking, licensing, compliance and adjudicatory matters at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), including appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. He also advises clients on transactions such as financings and complex mergers and corporate reorganizations. Mr. Greenwald has advised investors on the interaction of bankruptcy law and FCC auction regulations in the NextWave proceeding. He also advises lenders to and investors in carriers and service providers. His private user clients include utilities, public safety agencies and businesses with internal radio communications needs. Mr. Greenwald has served with the Common Carrier Bureau of the FCC for approximately five years and is a past co-chair of the Federal Communications Bar Association's Wireless Telecommunications Practice Committee, formerly known as the Land Mobile Practice Committee.
