Edward Faberman is a Partner and Co-Chair of the Aviation Practice at Wiley Rein in Washington, DC. He represents aviation clients on a variety of business, legislative and regulatory issues before the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), U.S. Department of Homeland Security/Transportation Security Administration (DHS/TSA) and Congress. He focuses on expanding opportunities for carriers, airport authorities and communities. Mr. Faberman counsels clients, including low-fare airlines, startup carriers, charter operators, airports municipalities, news helicopter operators, airport concession contractors and companies involved in international trade and business; works with companies to obtain Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approval of facilities and towers near airports; obtained legislative changes that allowed carriers to initiate operations and to expand operations; and generated Congressional hearings on airline issues and testified before several Congressional committees. He currently serves as the Executive Director for Air Carrier Association of America. Previously, Mr. Faberman was an Assistant General Counsel and Vice President of Government Affairs for American Airlines and Deputy Chief Counsel and Assistant Chief Counsel, Regulation and Enforcement Department at the FAA.
