Mr. Douglas Horn

Council Member Biography

Douglas Horn is a Commodity Analyst at CPM Group (Christian, Podleska and Vanmusschenbroek), a research, consulting, asset management and investment banking firm headquartered in New York City. Mr. Horn regularly contributes his analysis on the energy complex and aluminum, copper, zinc, lead, nickel and tin markets for CPM Group's monthly and weekly publications. He has also written for the firm's in-depth long-term industry studies, which contain analysis on supply and demand trends as well as price forecasts. These reports have included ferroalloys such as molybdenum, vanadium, and chromium and are used by mining companies, consumers and institutional investors for strategic decision making. Mr. Horn has been published in Mining Journal and The Prospector, and has been featured on BNN, Bloomberg TV, Reuters, and The Associated Press. He has spoken at the London Metal Exchange and at the World Bank on the metals and energy markets. Mr. Horn holds a MSc in Global Affairs from New York University and a BA from McGill University.
