David Portman, MD, is Director and Principal Investigator of the Columbus Center for Women's Health Research. Dr. Portman is also a Clincial Investigator at The Ohio State University. He has conducted over 100 clinical studies in areas of contraception, osteoporosis, menopause, and sexual dysfunction and urologic health in female patients. He regularly performs gynecologic and urogynecologic surgery. Dr Portman is a member of many professional societies in reproduction and menopause, and published his research in peer-reviewed journals and presented results at numerous national conferences. His consulting and lecturing across the country gives him unique insight into national trends in health care delivery and physician perceptions regarding new therapies. Dr. Portman has experience in all aspects of drug development from phase II trials to marketing. He sat on the Pfizer National Women's Health Advisory Board and is on Duramed's Council for Advanced Treament of Menopausal Symptoms. Dr. Portman has worked with Merck, Lilly, Roche, GlaxoSmithKline, and Abbott in an advisory capacity. (This is me - Update Profile)
