Mr. David Levinger

Council Member Biography

David Levinger is CEO and Founding Partner of Aura Capital Partners, a consultancy and advisory firm headquartered in Iceland. Mr. Levinger is also responsible for the Nordic Region & Canada at WJ Hopper & Co, a specialist private placement firm focused on mid-size PE and VC funds. He was formerly Managing Partner at ITC Investor Services and prior to that, until 2005, Head of Business Development and Vice President of Corporate Finance at pan-Nordic investment and commercial bank, Kaupthing, at that time amongst the fastest growing banks in the world. He is well acquainted with the current banking scenario in Iceland and the Nordic region. Previously, Mr. Levinger held positions of Director of Business Development at deCODE Genetics Inc, Senior Consultant at global strategic consulting firm Gemini Consulting (now Cap Gemini), Director for Iceland of the Swedish Government's Invest in Sweden Agency and Advisory Board Member of the European Commission's EFBIC group.
