David Horne is an Independent Consultant and Lobbyist specializing in housing and financial services. His range of work covers the Federal Housing Administration, predatory lending, mortgage markets, the TARP, Government Sponsored Enterprises and finanacial regulatory issues. Most recently Mr. Horne was the Chief of Staff of the Department of Housing and Urban Development where he oversaw policy issues ranging from RESPA reform and foreclosure relief to HUDs role in the mortgage crisis. Mr. Horne spent six years working for Rep. Rick Lazio (R-NY) as his Chief of Staff and Senior Counsel for the Banking Subcommittee on Housing. He was the primary staff negotiator for a landmark housing and HUD reform bill, RESPA and housing finance issues. He was significantly involved in initiatives relating to the budget, health care and New York-based interests. From 1990 to 1995 Mr. Horne was a lawyer with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, focusing on bankruptcy, real estate, and corporate reorganizations. (This is me - Update Profile)
