Dr. David Green PhD, CFA

Council Member Biography

David Green, PhD, CFA, was most recently, Treasurer of BankUnited, with over $13 billion in assets and 85 branches, it is the largest banking institution headquartered in Florida. Dr. Green was responsible for the investment portfolio, funding and derivatives, secondary marketing, FTP, and Asset/Liability (A/L) management. He was previously A/L Manager at SunTrust Bank, the seventh largest bank in the US. Dr. Green built and managed the interest rate risk models for the bank. He is former Chairman of the Georgia Bankers Association's A/L Management Committee, and was also Bank Examiner at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. Dr. Green is also Chairman of Bancware's (division of SunGard Data Systems) US Client Advisory Council. He holds a PhD in Economics from Georgia State University, a BS in Applied Mathematics from Georgia Tech, and a CFA charter.
