Treatment Planning using Digital Fluoroscopy

Integrating the use of digital fluoroscopy to assist in Radiation Therapy planning could be quite useful in defining treatment area. Obviously, respiratory motion could impact on the location of the treatment site. Observing and calculating the motion of organs would permit more precise treatment planning areas.

There seems to be an increase in spinal surgeries and/or using C-arms. It appears to this observer, that pain management services are increasing. With the digital technology present, radiation dose is less and the images can be interfaced with PACS.
