David Berry is Director of Radiology at The Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. He is responsible for the selection and purchase of all diagnostic imaging equipment and for the provision of those services. Mr. Berry is abreast with imaging information systems (PACS) and advances in imaging products and services. He was previously Director of Radiology for St. Francis Hospital and Integrated Healthcare Delivery Network. (This is me - Update Profile)

Integrating the use of digital fluoroscopy to assist in Radiation Therapy planning could be quite useful in defining treatment area. Obviously, respiratory motion could impact on the location of the treatment site. Observing and calculating the motion of organs would permit more precise treatment planning areas.

There seems to be an increase in spinal surgeries and/or using C-arms. It appears to this observer, that pain management services are increasing. With the digital technology present, radiation dose is less and the images can be interfaced with PACS.
